Juniper

Hi. I'm Juniper Rakhman Gerardi, a designer, stitcher, beadworker, and creative born and raised in the Eastern Woodlands. Sustainability is at the core of my work, where I meticulously craft unique pieces that challenge the gender norms of clothing and find new ways to minimize textile waste. Currently, I'm a dual-enrolled student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University through the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, graduating in the class of 2024.

I've carved my own educational path by blending fine arts, fashion design, graphic design, costume design (MFA), UX Design, and media/journalism with fashion marketing into a comprehensive curriculum. In addition to being a designer, I'm also an upcycler, jewelry maker, musician, and polyglot. My designs frequently incorporate elements of fashion history and my cultural background, as well as my travels.
